Currant can be found a little way east of emerald ranch train station, in a open field near an abandoned house. Two/three stems can also be found by the trapper in grizzlies east. Blackcurrant on the other hand grows in new austin, around cholla springs and gaptooth ridge. Golden currant grows all over roanoke. Just use eagle eye and look around for it.

They can be found growing in brightly lit positions away from water in gaptooth.
